what is a debt judgement

Ive had a Judgement on a debt. i have a few questions?

Hi, i recentally had a Judgement put against me for a debt i owed. I was wondering if any of you out there had this happen to you? I would like to know how respectful they were towards your situation? I can only afford to pay them 20 to 30 bucks a month? If you had judgement towards you please tell me how you dealt with your situation?

A judgement just says that legally, you owe money, and they can collect it. Before anything can happen, there is usually another suit filed in small claims court. They CANNOT take your money out from under you without a court order, and you have the right to be present at that hearing.

Most times, it doesn’t even go before the judge. The attorney for the party you owe money to will meet with you outside of the court room, and you can work out a payment plan.
