us debt by year

will tax rebates next year be affected by the debt the us is in now?
with all this money that we seem to be using to bailout the drop of the stock markets and such… do you think that when it comes time to fix taxes begining of 2009 will those rebates be less or possibly more? anyone have any ideas, has this been a issue thats been brough up in congress or such? I know the second stimulous was basically said its not a good idea so thats a no go….
i ment as in when it comes time to file your w2s and w4s those tax rebates for those who have erned income credit. and things of that nature… Sorry wasnt to clear about that…..
I wouldn’t worry about it. The government already spends more than it takes in, and is still able to give out rebates. Usually, they don’t change the tax laws to pay for a new program, the way a normal person would (for example, you might decide to forgo dinner out one night a week, to save up for a vacation. They would probably keep the dinner, take the vacation, and pay for the whole thing with a loan).
I’ve included details in the link below.
