us debt as percentage of gdp
Is the US really going to go bankrupt?

The national debt of the United States vs. the GDP of the the US economy is the same percentage as Canada’s.

Following WWII the national debt was 118% of our GDP. Today our debt is 80% of our GDP. Why didn’t the US go bankrupt after WWII?

Could it be as our economy grows(that’s our GDP) our debt vs. gdp ratio goes down? Could it be that all those “the US is going bankrupt” are all a bunch of chicken littles?

No
Not even close.
