poor credit visa cards

646. Is that a bad score?
I’m 26 years old.
I have one VISA in active use. I use it for all my spending and never carry a balance of more than $200-300. I have a second card, a Capital One. I carry zero balance and never use it. I have plans to transfer my gas & grocery spending to that card to keep it active.
I have an auto loan with $10,000. Last summer, I was one month late for almost 6 months. I’ve been solid and consistent for a year.
I payed off my student loans (for one year of college) on time, every time, about three years ago. That’s my oldest account.
When I got my credit report, it classified my score as “poor.” I’m nervous! Am I doing that badly?
735 to 810 is a good score.
If that 10,000 car loan is eating away more than 25% of your take home it may be reducing your score.
Once you pay that off you should have amazing credit. Don’t worry.
Have you gone to
annual credit report . com
to get your totally free report?
I think you have, but make sure you dispute anything you don’t think is accurate, and add a comment to that late payment of that car. Also, update your job and your income.
I know for sure you are doing much better than most 26 year olds. It takes time (years) to establish credit.
And thank you for being so refreshing. A person that pays cards in full. That creates amazing credit. Well done.
