Mobile Homes , What would you do?

The house we live in, we own. its about 50 years old though and everythings slowly falling apart, if its not one thing its another. like the floors are giving away, the foundation is slipping. We are thinking about buying a mobile home trailer. a 3 br hopefully as theres 2 kids and the parents. My uncle is going to help us buy loaning us some money. The thing is he can only spare $3000-$4000 which is VERY generous, considering we are basically poor. we have bad credit to. We looked at a new single wide once, it was like a dream come true, 3 BR 2 Bath very nice. but should we use what he is giving us as a down payment on a new one or buy a used one?
its just got alot of problems, it wasnt built right or upkept correctly when we got it, so we are just gonna get something in better condition than this

Buy the best you can possibly afford. If you’re in the US, look at foreclosures or short sales.

It’s not wise economy to buy a cheap used mobile home. They often have terrible problems that will cost you more in the long run than the newer home would.
