Do I qualify for first time home buyers credit?
I bought my house from my father inlaw 8 months ago. The house is in my name and not my wifes because she has bad credit. He sold me the house for what he bought it for. I just lost my job last month and I am really hurting. Do I qualify why or why not?
Have you or your wife owned a home in the last 3 years? If so, then no, you don’t qualify.
It doesn’t matter whose name its in, they will still take into consideration whether your wife has owned a home previously or not.
