Why are so few americans worried about the federal debt and deficit?

all this talk about taxes and who pays and who doesn’t pay and what’s fair, but are we ignoring all the SPENDING that will lead to trillions in debt and mean more tax dollars will be needed to pay the interest on that debt?

No one is looking at the long-term effects. They hear “tax cut” and they are happy. What they don’t understand is that the tax cut is short-term. As soon as the economy starts to pick up, everyone’s taxes will skyrocket to pay for all of this spending. Everyone, not just those who make more than 250k a year.
