debt limitations act

debt limitations act
7 years old credit card debt in india?

I recently found out that one of the credit cards in India was not paid, its more than 7 years? and its has now become Rs 4 lakhs from Rs 10,000 due to high interest and other charges. I dont live in India anymore. can they still take legal action against me? I read that under India Limitation Act they can do anything to you 3 years after the last transaction…Any tips will be highly appreciated. thanks!

I not to familiar with credit laws in India, but I do know that credit histories do not transfer from country to country.

In my best opinion and from the facts I know, as long as you do not move back to India, you should be in the clear. They most likely will not try to collect on a debt from someone living in another country. Its just too costly for them to do so.
