Bank of America Student Credit Card?

I have a bank of america debit card but am looking to get a credit card. I am a student in college and pretty responsible with money. I have a job but not too smart on credit cards. Does anyone know anything about this card, whether it has a good interest rate etc..? also what things lower your credit score. obviously not payin on time but any other tips could help. and please dont tell me not to get one im not asking for a parent im asking for help

Depending on which student credit card you apply for the rates start at 14.99% and up. And they offer CC’s to full-time an part-time students. There is no annual fee, and even though the rate is higher than some other cards…you can use it to build up your credit profile if you haven’t really established credit. If they’re rates are too high, than you may try Citibank, that’s who i got my first student credit card from.

As for tips…don’t charge more than you can afford and pay it off at the end of the month. In my opinion, credit cards aren’t bad, you just have to live within your means and should you be fine. Using common sense, having discipline, and delaying instant gratificaiton will help and prevent financial turmoil.
