How I can finance an engagement ring if I have bad credit?

Maybe I should clarify. My bad credit is the result of my ex-wife. When she decided she wanted a divorce, I agreed to solve financial problems without a judge having to do everything for us (big mistake). Do not pay for things that were in my name legally, should have paid and bad credit. It was not the result of my irresponsibility.
