bad credit bill consolidation loans

How can I get myself back on track with my financial situation?

Everything seems to have gone from bad to worse. My credits shot, I have two credit cards that I keep only to help my credit. Everything and anything that could go wrong lately has, my car dies and the bills keep piling up. How can I get myself back on track so I can fast track and pay everything off. I don’t have a set amount of money I earn a week, so its really a week by week living. I was thinking that I could get a bill consolidation loan so I could have one lump sum to pay for a while, but i have shoddy credit. Anyone out there who can help?

There are a few ways to go,

1. Call a bankruptcy attorney, most will see you the first time free to give you your opinions.

2. There are several credit counseling services, but be very careful because many are just scams that will only deepen your debt.

3. Call you creditors and see if you can make a negotiated settlement. One of my closest friends after his divorce owed Citibank 5k, he told them that he was thinking about filing bankruptcy and they offered to take 1k and call it even. He had to sell his motorcycle but it was worth it. Only down side to that is sometimes (and you can neg out of that as well) they will send you a 1099 and you will have to pay taxes on the difference.

Don’t just ignore the problem because it won’t “just go away”. Even if you have to file bankruptcy it’s not the stigma it use to be. The funny thing about that is the Credit Card Companies who are complaining about all the people filing bankruptcy. Yet they are the ones who make it almost impossible to get out of debt.
